SeeSaw is a free iPad app in the app store that allows students to keep a digital learning journal. Their posts can be typed or come in the form of a short video or audio recording. It is a VERY simple app to use, even for the youngest learners. A bonus of this app is that it provides a free, safe, blogging platform for classrooms if you want to use it!
Flipgrid is a website and an app for the iPad. Teachers can create grids on the website to post discussion questions. Each grid is like a message board where teachers can pose questions, called "topics", and their students can post video responses that appear in a tiled grid display. Students can respond to each others posts on the topic as well! It is a very user-friendly and fun way to engage students and get them thinking and talking about content! There is even a Flipgrid community that will connect your class with classes all over the world! It is an AMAZING tool!
